WORKSHOP – How to fight for a collective agreement

On September 30 and October 1, 2019, as part of the project of the European Federation of Journalists "Management of Changes in the Media", Union of Journalists of Croatia and the Croatian Journalists' Association in Zagreb is visited by a colleague, Mogens Blicher Bjerregard, President of the European Federation of Journalists. He will participate in a panel discussion on the current state and problems of working in the media, and on the professional and labor rights of journalists, on Monday, 30 September, with a presentation of the situation in Denmark and the EU. The debate will start at 6pm in the Press Room, Perkovčeva 2 in Zagreb. On Tuesday, October 1, 2019, also at the Press Room from 9 am to 2 pm, the EFJ President will hold a workshop for SNH members on the importance of collective agreements in protecting the work and professional rights of journalists and on the technique of collective bargaining. Around 20 people can participate in the workshop. It is intended to train current and future participants in the collective bargaining of collective bargaining agreements at the level of large media outlets that are about to launch negotiations.
